The Prentice Family Foundation’s Western New York (WNY) Prosperity Scholarship is intended for entrepreneurial and civic-minded students at the University at Buffalo.

This scholarship program will assist undergraduate and graduate students who are actively preparing for careers that further economic development and growth, especially in the Western New York region.

The scholarship will be awarded to students who can demonstrate their commitment to the Western New York community. Congratulations to the 2011-2012 Scholar recipients (PDF).

To apply, undergraduate applicants must be in an approved major in any of the programs in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences; or in the School of Management’s Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program; or in either the Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences or the Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Graduate applicants must be accepted into a UB graduate program in any of the programs in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, or in the MBA program in the School of Management , or in the MS program in Biotechnology in the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Applications for the 2012-13 scholar class are now closed. The 2013-2014 process will reopen in January 2013.
